The Lowcountry has plenty of emails about where to brunch. Lowcountry Foundry is about the neighbors behind the counter: the shops, trades, makers, and side hustles that make this place feel like home.

Every Thursday at 7 AM you'll get one short, free email with:

• 10 Questions with a local personality
• This week's birthday list
• A Maker of the Week
• What's newly open around town

The ads are small on purpose. A local business can be in it for $5 to $15, not hundreds, so the businesses you see are your actual neighbors.

We're building this in public, so we'll be honest about how it's going, good weeks and slow ones.
